S8 is my first.
Started 1154, dropped to <500 and currently back up to about 700. I’ve been only playing about 3-5 games at a time.
I’ve done nothing but QP/Custom/Arcade until I’ve been consistently getting paired with players ranked above me.
I can see how silly Bronze really is now that Ive built some skill

Ive also made Open custom FFA games with no buffs. I’ll end up getting a few GM Genjis and many other high ranking players in there to rip me to shreds.

Trust me, at 2k+ SR, you are far better than some of us.

The thing I hate about comp so much though is that when you take both points of a 2CP map or take the payload all the way to the end before the second round, you’ll get a leaver on the enemy team, or even worse, YOURs lol.
I don’t understand why people do this.
