To everyone expecting the next mainline Pokemon games on the Switch, did you really expect Game Freak to jump consoles mid gen, when they have NEVER done that before. Of course they was going to stick with the 3ds, yes it is a dying console, but they did the same with B2W2 the 3DS had come out before they did and instead of putting them on the brand new console Game Freak kept them on the DS.

3DS is dying you have no clue what you're talking about. They are releasing a brand new 2DS soon! Have 3DS games coming out on the reg and have said they will continue to support the 3DS. Just because the Switch is a handheld doesn't mean it is intended to replace the 3DS

Thank you OP. People seem to be so upset because they don't understand that Ninty/GF are literally sticking to their method of not crossing consoles in a generation.

3ds probably still has some life left though. Reggie has said it will live alongside the Switch for a while
