To anyone trying to justify microtransactions ruining our games with "b-but making ga-ames is more expensive now, right guys?":

Digital distribution removes about half of all costs of producing the game but games are still priced at over double what they were ten years ago (triple+ if counting the day-1 special™ editions of most games).
That theoretically results in over four times the profit for every game.

Also a merry belated Christmasgiving brunch party my chaps.

Also Steam and other distributors (non-gaming too) are trying to use P2P so they don't have to pay as much for servers, at your expense lmao

microtransaction's are fine if they dont interfere with core gameplay :)

Idk. Developing a game today is by far more expensive than past games combined. So much work goes into them. But I also never buy games at full price

Also I see no issue with microtransactions if all dlc is free
