Definitely easier in the beginning stages with the dlc because of the armour you can find right away. But it's not long at all before they're completely useless because they aren't upgradable. However the added game time helps make the fun last longer. Especially the one that gives you master mode. Gives you a new save file to start over in but in master mode. The rest I feel are just added quests and Easter eggs
