Not a powerful engram but a chest will drop...it always does. Sometimes exotics... Does that answer your question?

Yes do prestige you will get more rewards

Prestige increases your drop chance but you dont get any more luminous engrams but you have a better chance of pulling exotics and such... Does that make sense
