you can't use 2 gpus in sli if they are not the same model

you can use one of the GPUs for physics processing from nvidia control panel

you can set the other one as dedicated PhsyX although i don't think there is gonna be a significant improvement. So better stick with your single 1050ti

They will work, no bottlenck... but the thing is that they would not work on parallel or for the same purpose... you need to have the same chip so you can use them in SLI

One more expensive more powerful card is better than two cards any day cuz most games aren't built for SLI

Try to scale it to a 1060 or find a 970 980

Just get a ryzen 1200 and oc it it's no different than a 1300

You can pair up to a 1070 or plain 1080 without bottle-necking with that CPU

If the lower end card is relatively close to the main card in spec, using the lower as a dedicated physx card isn't a bad idea for physx heavy games like Arkham Knight. You won't see your frames drop as much with interactive fog or when there's a big explosion, etc.
