i said id do this a long time ago but i havent yet (hopefully soon lol)... i want to do some paracord cable modding on my psu cables.. (not willing to shell out the $ for already made custom cables)... my question is in regards to possible capacitors near the connectors. so ive seen images of psu cables cut but there is a capacitor or several near where the connectors are, especially the PCE-I connectors. One guy on Youtube doing a paracord job on his cables said its perfectly fine to simply cut the capacitors off. Can anyone confirm this? whats the point of the capacitors and would it be dangerous to cut them off? Here is a random pic on the net for reference as well as a pic of a similar paracord job id like to do. Thanks for the help!

They are there to help smooth the power to the GPU. They shouldn't be neccesary if the PSU is good quality, but they're nice to have.
