How do I get it to not stick out? I can’t get it to place right

That’s kind of a tough place to do the trick but what you need to do is snap the pillar in the center of the ceiling like you have. Then place another pillar below that one. If there is enough room, there will be two snap points, of which you want the lower snap point. If you don’t get the 2nd snap point there isn’t enough room. Once you place the lower pillar on the 2nd snap point, go back and delete the 1st pillar

Of your on Xbox while placing it try hitting rb it will change the snap points also

Why u need a pillar there in the first place? Its only 1 space of a foundation? Else i would change the floor below the wall on theninside to a foundation, so you can build the ceiling 1 further and then place the pillar for support with more room underneath it
