Hi everyone
Purchased this gold Mario for my lads birthday as he’s been asking for months for it
Just been trying it out on a couple of games
Smash Mario bro on the Wii u
Mario kart 8 on both the Wii u and switch
The amiibo don’t do anything
It was purchased from cex so not have any issues returning it
Is there anything else I could try before sending it back
Going to need to buy one from some where else now as he will notice it gone lol

I had a similar issue with Lego dimensions where the character wouldn't work and after contacting Lego they sent a replacement so maybe try contacting Nintendo?

Also just tried it the new 3DS Xl and still nothing
Think it could be faulty

Have you tried the amiibo settings on the Wii u settings menu

I had this once so my brother took the Amiibo and scanned it with the NFC on his phone, can't remember the application he tested it with but it magically worked afterwards, it was a Amiibo copying application I think for the iPhone.
