Hi all! Does anyone know why Team Fortress 2 eats up so much memory in Linux? And any idea how to deal with it? I have 2GB RAM and 4GB swap (don't laugh). TF2 fills up my RAM and uses over 1GB of swap memory...

I think it uses up just as much on a PC. How come you have so little RAM? You using a virtual machine or a laptop?

Nope, a 2015 desktop; back then 2GB seemed okay - now I'm broke, no upgrading before Christmas

in a simple way, games evolved too, they have major updates and graphic change etc etc, so basicly the requirements is become minimum now.
