Help needed.
Upgrading my potato. So got load of new parts.
Then descoverd my 970 strix will bottleneck the i7 3960x I got
So I'm gonna upgrade.
To either 980ti or 1070

As far as I can see they performance isnt much different from eachother. But want to know what the experts think.

Your saying the 970 will bottleneck the 3960x? Where did you get that information? I doubt it will be an issue, 970 was released after that chip. But anyways, cost wise find a used 980ti would be cheaper otherwise I would go for the new 1070.

The only bottleneck i can see is the one caused by the user... Sorry but someone had to mention it....

I would buy the 1070. While it has similar performance with the 980ti it has much lower power requirements

Your 970 strip won't bottleneck the i7 3960x like tf based on what you just said the 980ti would make it a lot worse and so well the 1070
