You need to power both of those connectors. One is for the GPU itself, the other is to power the VRAM. 1x 6 pin AND 1x 8 pin.

You need a new PSU, anything that small is not good enough for that card even if it had the proper cables its not enough power.

Definitely a 1080, I have a 1070 asus and it only uses an 8 pin

Yes it's a 1080, but I'm sure I can power the GTX 1080 with my PSU, I will upgrade later, I just need to boot it and redeem my destiny 2 code lmao

bought a gtx 1080 with a 430watt psu and wonders why it wont work plus you havnt connected all the pci cables up as well

That psu is fine for the gpu power wise. Card only pulls 180w under load.

Need one of these for it to work.
