It's OK, I think you would get more enjoyable experience from a 1060 or used 970/80 etc. Let that ryzen stretch its legs.

1050 is a very poor card for the CPU you have. I'd recommend at least the 1050 ti

Bought a used 280x to crossfire in my secondary computer iff eBay and they are still going strong.

And the 970 is a way better card

Buy a used 970. It's only a few fps slower than a 1060 6GB but much cheaper. You can get one even cheaper than a 1050Ti sometimes.

1050ti is a very capable card of producing 60fps on ultra in most games, the gtx 970 will hit on average 80fps on ultra and the 1060 3gb is the way to go for budget cards. Capable of 90 to 100 fps on average in most games on ultra. If you can find a r9 290 or 290x that is a awesome card which outperforms the 6gb 1060. A rx 480 and 580 are exellent cards as well. 470 and 570 will be slightly less then a 1060 6gb and somewhere around a 1060 3gb. Either way though don't just get a plain 1050. At least get a 1050ti.

I'm still running i5 3330, 8gb ram, and msi 1050ti 4gb. For low budget it really allows me to play any games with pleasure on 1080p monitor. I'm very happy with this card, easy overclock possible

1060 6gb > 970 > 1050ti > 1060 3gb (the card is powerful but you can hardly use it to its potential due to lack of vram, the 1050ti has 4gb)

If you can get a used 970 it's better than 1050ti but if you can't then just get a 1050ti

If your not doing it for gaming then ignore the cucks above. Yes that card will be fine to run your system. For programming (depending on what language and what you are making etc) u will probably need ram and cpu
