Hello Guys! I am still gaming on my potato PC. Well I had researched a little bit about GTX 1070 and GTX 1080, I didn't saw much difference in performance of modern AAA games. It was a difference of 5FPS only... :/ I want to know your thoughts about which is better.

1070 is a great option cuz kinda good value for excellent performance. 1440p on dat is ez

1070 for 1080p on ultra settings. 1080 for 1440p on ultra. 1080ti for 4k on high

The only important feature is high resolution gaming - higher than 1080p. But I wouldn't trust this that much, next gen games might not be so optimized for your gtx1080 and then you will end up lowering the resolution anyway, to improve the results....

I'm a 1070 owner, I can play most games at 4k high settings with some at ultra.... Eg. Doom, outlast 2, tekken 7. All games will run at 1080p ultra though with a 1070.

My buddy has an i5 7500 and a gtx 1070, plays his games on 4k high 50-60 fps and on ultra settings 30-40 fps

I don't know where you're seeing these benchmarks but unless a game is optimized to use the power on the 1080, it won't show much gain. Some games such as rise of the tomb raider will have a 10 to 15 fps difference vs the 1070. If you're going for those higher 144hz then getting the 1080 will help. But the sweet spot has always been the 70 series cards from the 770 to 970 to 1070.
