I started off with "oh, im just gonna spend 500-800" that turned into a $1200 build. The $1200 build is now a $2000 build and will soon be a $3000 build.

Depends on what resolution you want to hit. If you want ultra at 1080p like $600-800. Ultra 1440p $900-1200 and 4k like $1400-1600 minimum.

My first pc build was $800 u.s and lasted a good 4 years. Only thing I replaced was the video card between that time frame.

This is a good build without spending much money.


What you can get for more money?

AMD R5 1600 - Better 6 Core 12 thread processor. For $30 more.

16 GB RAM instead of 8GB - You can do this later down the road.

An SSD - I highly recommend an SSD. You can buy a cheap 128/256 GB for $50/$100.

RX 580 - Roughly 10-15% faster. You can step up
