anyone here gutted a Seagate external hdd. my inlaw gave me a new 3tb one a few months back for my Xbox. I then built a pc and was thinking if I should guy it out or sell and buy another 1tb we black

You can gut it out, but know that it will void its warranty before you do it.

ya didn't know if it's worth it. like if the drive is any good. for games etc. 70 new seems cheap for 3tb lol

External drives are typically less expensive. Most use lower speed drives inside.

As far as formatting it though, I'm not sure if you have to reformat it for computer use by the xbox or in your computer though.
