Any networking gurus?!? I live in a very rural area with poor internet. Me and my mother have two separate houses across the driveway from each other, both with separate internet connections and routers. I'd like to connect them both on the same LAN for file sharing but I'd like all the computers in House #1 to use Internet Connection #1 (4G Router) and all the computers in House #2 to use Internet Connection #2 (Satellite Internet).
I have a buried Ethernet cable between the two houses.
Additionally I'd like them to be able to fail over to the other houses internet connection if the internet goes down in one house if at all possible.
I have experience configuring routers, installing and using custom router firmware (DD-WRT, Tomato), setting up and using pfsense, etc.
What's the easiest/cheapest way to accomplish this?
Thanks in advance!
