Anthem’s Cancellation Is The Right Call - IGN Now Yesterday's news about Anthem's re-launch being scrapped didn't come as a huge surprise. The game had a troubled development cycle, a rocky launch, and struggled to keep players entertained in the year and a half since release. However, Anthem had a devoted following among players that stuck it out, with many praising the core mechanics, in spite of the rest of the game being lackluster. While we're a little sad the Anthem NEXT update won't see the light of day, we're glad resources are being shifted to Bioware's next Mass Effect and Dragon Age 4 titles.
