1070 compares to maxwell's titan

Whichever one is cheaper as you won't notice the difference in performance. The 980 ti will need a better psu though

have the msi armor 1070 8gb. same level in performance, lower watt and better oc performance! i got it 6+ months ago 300euros used. right now they are about 600+euros. gtx 980ti is the same level 300e used (maybe less if not a super awesome oced edition). gtx 980ti and you will be fine since gpu marketing went to hell and back :p

P.S. gtx 1070 8gb is good with a 630w thermaltake smart se psu. Semi modular so far 55euros (using i7 4790k stock, 4x4gb 2133mhz oced, z97 pro gamer 2xSSDs, 2xHDDs and many fans (5x140mm + 2x120mm green). Gtx980ti will NEED a decent 750w for some ocing or demaning 100% gpu usage. you choose :) both are futureproof for 1080p and some 1440p. 2160p will need sli or 1080+

I went with a 980ti. Maxwell is incredible at overclocking when you feed it power and low temps.
